downloadxAI is designed to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts, we never store the videos you download, and we don't run tracking cookies or ad pixels.

This Privacy Policy explains exactly what little data touches our servers, why, and what rights you have over it under the GDPR, the CCPA, and similar laws.

Links you paste. When you paste a video link, our servers process it to locate the video file. Pasted links are held in memory or short-lived logs only and are automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not keep a history of what you download.

Video content. We never store your downloaded videos. Files stream through to your device and are not retained on our servers.

Technical logs. Like almost every website, our infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. These are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

Accounts. There are none. We never ask for your name, email address, or password to use the downloader.

We do not use tracking cookies. The only persistent storage we use is your browser's localStorage, and only for interface preferences — for example, remembering that you dismissed our cookie notice. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us.

If we ever introduce analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before any non-essential cookie or tracker is set.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, we process the minimal data described above on the following bases:

• Legitimate interest — operating, securing, and preventing abuse of the Service (server logs, rate limiting);
• Performance of a service you requested — processing the link you paste in order to deliver your download;
• Consent — for any optional, non-essential processing we may introduce in the future, which will always be opt-in.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data;
• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data;
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
• Restriction and objection — limit or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@videodownloaderai.com. We respond within 30 days. Because we collect so little data, most requests are simple to fulfill. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of — but if that ever changes, a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control will be added here first.

How long we keep each category of data:

All traffic to and from downloadxAI is encrypted over HTTPS. Access to infrastructure is restricted and logged. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but the best protection is the one we already practice: collecting almost nothing in the first place.

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our servers may be located outside your country. By using the Service, you understand that the minimal technical data described above may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes — especially anything involving new data collection — will be announced on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and any non-essential processing will require your consent before it begins.
